Westrum Development Wins 6 William Penn Awards of Excellence from BIA

Westrum’s Hilltop at Falls Ridge community was honored with five awards: “Most Creative Marketing Campaign,” “Best Sales Center,” “Best Architectural Design of the Year,” “Townhouse of the Year Between $500,000 and $799,999,” and “Most Creative Brochure Under $7.00.” Judging criteria were based on theme, content, materials, use of space and curb appeal. The Hilltop at Falls Ridge is Westrum’s new luxury townhome community in East Falls. The grand opening, held in June 2007, featured Governor Edward G. Rendell and other state and local government officials present to cut the ribbon and support Westrum’s revitalization of this Philadelphia neighborhood.

For corporate marketing efforts, Westrum won “Most Creative Color Print Ad” for its “Find Your Fit” ad. The ad features a woman tucking her Westrum home keys into the back pocket of her designer jeans, offering a unique and successful approach to typical real estate advertising. The ad ran in The Philadelphia Inquirer, Philadelphia Magazine, and Philadelphia Style Magazine, as well as on Septa bus backs. The success of the advertising campaign is undeniable, with Westrum’s Brewerytown Square and Villas & Regency at Packer Park communities each 75% sold, and 17 homes sold at its new Hilltop at Falls Ridge community already selling since its debut in June 2007.
